Our way

Better people.
Better systems.
Better companies.

Great companies don’t happen by accident.
They are designed.

Around clear goals. The right people. Shared knowledge. Technology that removes friction. And a culture where responsibility matters more than hierarchy. That is how we build at Starspace.

Not by adding complexity. By creating clarity.

01 The principle

Being busy
is not a KPI.

Activity can look a lot like progress. More meetings. More messages. More reports. More hours. More people.

But none of those things necessarily mean a company is getting better.

We care about what actually moves. Are customers better served? Are decisions getting faster? Is quality improving? Are people developing? Are we learning? Are we creating measurable progress?

We don’t celebrate complexity. We try to remove it. Because ultimately, output matters more than activity.

Busy ≠ productive  ·  Movement ≠ progress

02 Structure

Freedom comes
from structure.

Freedom without clarity quickly becomes chaos. When nobody knows exactly what good looks like, ownership becomes ambiguous. Decisions move upward. Knowledge becomes fragmented. Problems get passed around instead of solved.

So we build structure. Clear responsibilities. Clear goals. Clear standards. Clear ownership. Clear feedback.

Not because we want more control. Because clarity gives people the confidence to act.

The better the system, the less an organisation needs to depend on constant supervision. That creates something much more valuable than control: autonomy.

Clarity → ownership → autonomy → growth

03 People

Give exceptional people
room to become
exceptional.

We don’t believe people should remain confined to the position they were hired for. Potential should compound.

Someone who proves they can take responsibility should get more responsibility. Someone who can build should get the opportunity to build. Someone who can lead should be given something worth leading.

That requires high standards. But it also requires trust.

Development isn’t something that happens once a year during a performance review. It happens through work itself: through feedback, responsibility, training, experimentation and increasingly difficult problems.

We want people to look back after several years and realise they became capable of things they couldn’t do when they arrived.

Unlock your potential, every day

04 Knowledge

What the company
learns should belong
to the company.

Traditional organisations lose an enormous amount of intelligence. Knowledge sits in inboxes. Processes live in people’s heads. Decisions disappear inside meetings. The same questions are answered repeatedly. And when someone leaves, part of the organisation leaves with them.

We think differently. Every process can become clearer. Every answer can become knowledge. Every mistake can improve the system. Every successful approach can become repeatable.

The goal is not documentation for the sake of documentation. The goal is to make the organisation smarter every day it operates.

Knowledge compounds

05 Technology

Technology
should amplify people.

Technology is not a department at Starspace. It is part of how we build.

We use AI and automation to remove repetitive work, make knowledge accessible, improve decision-making and help people execute with greater speed and consistency.

But our ambition isn’t simply to automate more. It is to create leverage.

When a machine can perform repetitive work better, people should be able to spend more time on the things where humans create disproportionate value: judgement, creativity, relationships, leadership and ideas.

Technology should not reduce what people are worth.
It should increase what they are capable of.

The system behind the companies

Meet Sirius.

Starspace’s AI-powered operating system.

Every company creates thousands of pieces of information every day. Emails. Conversations. Documents. Decisions. Customer interactions. Processes. Data. Expertise.

Most organisations leave those things disconnected. We’re building Sirius to connect them — an intelligence layer designed to turn what our organisations know into what they can do.

Explore our companies

  • Knowledge

    What we learn becomes accessible.

  • Intelligence

AI helps interpret information and support decisions.

  • Agents

Specialised systems help people execute specific workflows.

  • Automation

Repetitive processes increasingly happen without repetitive effort.

  • Execution

Knowledge doesn’t end in a document. It becomes action.

One intelligence layer.
Across every company.

Sirius isn’t being built because AI is fashionable. It’s being built because we believe the operating model of companies is changing.

The companies of tomorrow won’t simply have more software. They will increasingly be able to understand their own knowledge, support their people and execute parts of their operations intelligently. We’re building that capability from inside our own companies.

06 Execution

Ideas only matter
when they become real.

We like ideas. But ideas are the easy part. Execution is where ambition meets reality.

That means making decisions. Testing assumptions. Shipping things. Measuring what happened. Fixing what didn’t work. And doing it again.

We would rather test something imperfect than discuss something perfect forever. That doesn’t mean lowering standards. It means understanding that quality is created through iteration.

Think → build → measure → learn → build again

07 Data

Make reality visible.

You cannot improve what you refuse to see. So we believe performance should be visible — not to create a culture of surveillance, but to create a culture of reality.

Good data removes ambiguity. It shows where customers are waiting. Where quality drops. Where processes break. Where people need support. Where something works exceptionally well.

And when reality becomes visible, conversations change. Less “I think we’re doing well.” More “This is what’s happening. What are we going to do about it?”

Reality creates better conversations

08 Leadership

Leadership
is not a title.

Leadership means creating the conditions in which other people can perform. A manager should not become the centre through which every decision has to pass. Their job is to make the team stronger.

Set direction. Create clarity. See performance. Remove obstacles. Give feedback. Develop people. Raise the standard.

The measure of leadership is not how indispensable the leader becomes. It is how capable the organisation becomes around them.

People make the difference

09 Standards

High standards.
Fast feedback.

High standards without feedback create frustration. Feedback without standards creates ambiguity. We need both.

People should know what is expected of them, understand where they stand and have the opportunity to improve. That means we address things.

When something is great, say why. When something isn’t good enough, say why. When someone can become better, help them get there.

Avoiding difficult conversations doesn’t create a kind culture. Clarity does.

A stronger tomorrow

10 Failure

Build. Learn.
Build again.

We’re going to get things wrong. That’s unavoidable when you’re trying to build things that didn’t exist before.

The important distinction is between failure that creates learning and failure that creates repetition. Trying something, measuring it and discovering it doesn’t work can make the organisation smarter. Making the same mistake repeatedly because nothing changed does not.

So we don’t aim for an organisation where nothing ever fails. We aim for one that learns faster than problems can repeat themselves.

Progress through iteration

11 The system

This is how
the pieces connect.

People create ideas, judgement and relationships. Structure creates clarity and ownership. Knowledge makes learning reusable. Technology creates leverage. Data makes reality visible. Execution turns ideas into outcomes. Feedback makes the next iteration better.

And the system gets stronger.

This is the real idea behind Starspace. Not six companies sitting underneath the same logo. One ecosystem that gets better at building companies.

12 Different markets

The market changes.
The principles don’t.

Debt collection and electronic music have very little in common. That’s exactly what makes Starspace interesting.

Our companies operate across services, recruitment, legal technology, music and media. Their customers are different. Their products are different. Their cultures can be different. We don’t want to erase those differences.

Instead, we build a shared foundation underneath them: people, knowledge, technology and execution.

When something works in one company, the rest of the group can learn from it. When we build useful technology, more than one company can benefit. When someone develops exceptional capabilities, new opportunities emerge across the ecosystem.

Each company keeps its identity.
The intelligence compounds.

13 The flywheel

Every company makes
the next one stronger.

A traditional holding company owns companies. We want Starspace to do something more interesting.

Every company we build gives the group more experience. More knowledge. More technology. More talent. More infrastructure. More understanding of what works — and what doesn’t.

That makes the existing companies stronger. But it also reduces the distance between an idea and the next company.

  1. Build a company
  2. Learn
  3. Capture the knowledge
  4. Improve the system
  5. Build better
  6. Repeat

Over time, the real asset isn’t any single process or piece of software. It’s the ability to build.

14 What’s next

We are not finished.

The companies you see today are a snapshot. There will be new products. New technology. New markets. New people with ideas we haven’t thought of yet. Some experiments will work. Others won’t. Both can move us forward. Because Starspace isn’t being designed around what the organisation looks like today — we’re building an environment capable of continuously creating what comes next.

A bigger tomorrow

Better people.
Better systems.
A bigger tomorrow.

We’re always looking for exceptional people, ideas and partnerships.
